Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect in a Hot Yoga (aka a 26+2) class?

Hot Yoga is a full-body workout done in a heated room to help you stretch deeper, build balance and strength, and release stress. Expect to sweat a lot, feel challenged, and leave class feeling empowered. Just come hydrated, breathe, and do your best.

If you’ve never done Hot Yoga before, don’t worry — you’re not alone, and you’re absolutely welcome. Classes are beginner-friendly, and everyone starts somewhere!

How should I prepare for a Hot Yoga class?

1. Hydrate Well (But Not Too Much Right Before)

Start drinking water throughout the day—not just right before class. Drinking your favorite electrolytes can help too.

2. Eat Light & Smart

Avoid heavy meals before class. Opt for something light, 2-3 hours before class, like fruit, a smoothie, or a small snack.

3. Dress to Sweat

Wear breathable, moisture-wicking clothes. Think form-fitting tops, shorts or leggings. Avoid cotton—it gets heavy when soaked.

4. Bring the Essentials

Yoga mat, full size towel to place over your mat and your water bottle.

5. Arrive. It’s the hardest part!

Arrive 10–15 minutes early to give yourself plenty of time to park and be on time for class. Step into the studio, roll out your mat, and have a great class.

Are there changing rooms/showers?

There are two bathrooms, each with a shower. Use the bathrooms to change before class or enjoy a quick rinse after class. Be mindful of others that may need to do the same. Shower towels are not provided. Please, bring your own.

Is there a place to store my things?

Yes, there are cubbies in the lobby to store your items. Please leave your cell phone on silent and in the lobby. Bring just your mat, towel, water bottle, and yourself into the hot room.

Are mats and towels available for rent and purchase?

We do have some mats and towels for rent, but they are limited. Rental cost per mat with a yoga towel is $5. Please invest in your own mat and towel and bring it with you to class. Mats and towels are available for purchase at the studio.

What can I expect in a Yin Class?

Yin yoga is a slow, mindful practice focused on deep stretching and relaxation. Poses are mostly done on the floor at room temperature and held for several minutes, targeting connective tissues like fascia, ligaments, and joints rather than muscles.

If doing Yin after a Hot Yoga class, please bring dry clothes to change into and a second towel for your mat.

What to bring to Yin Class?

Bring a yoga mat and towel. Props like yoga blocks, straps, bolsters, and blankets are also used in class. Some props are available at the studio, but feel free to bring your own.
