Welcome to The Yoga Ridge

A few shared expectations help us create a safe, welcoming, and respectful space where everyone can settle in, connect, and enjoy their practice.

Everybody and every body is welcome.

Studio Etiquette

A few simple guidelines help us create a space where everyone can practice comfortably, connect with our community, and enjoy everything The Yoga Ridge has to offer.

Arrival

  • Arrive 10–15 minutes before class so you have time to check in, settle in, and prepare for your practice.
  • Classes begin promptly. Check in at the front desk before entering the yoga room.

Personal Preparation

  • Bring a yoga mat, towel, and water bottle. A mat and towel are required for all heated classes.
  • Leave shoes, bags, and personal belongings outside the yoga room.
  • No glass containers are permitted in the lobby or yoga room. Please use a plastic or metal water bottle.

Before Class

  • Say hello, visit with friends, and enjoy connecting with your community before class.
  • Notice the atmosphere around you. If others are grounding, breathing, or preparing quietly, keep conversations respectful.
  • Place your mat within the room layout so everyone has space to practice comfortably.

Phones & Devices

  • Phones and other electronic devices are not permitted in the yoga room.
  • Silence smartwatches and other wearable notifications before class begins.
  • Speak with your instructor in advance if a medical device requires an exception.

During Class

  • Remain in the yoga room whenever possible.
  • If you need to leave early, tell your instructor before class and exit quietly before final savasana.
  • Follow your instructor’s guidance and be mindful of movements or conversations that could distract others.

After Class

  • Stay for final savasana whenever possible. It is an important part of your practice.
  • Leave the yoga room quietly when others are still resting.
  • Return borrowed equipment neatly and take all personal items with you.

Courtesy & Care

  • Be kind and courteous to instructors, staff, and fellow students.
  • Practice good hygiene and use a towel on your mat during heated classes.
  • Be mindful of fragrances, conversations, and shared spaces.

Health & Safety

  • Do not attend class while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • If you feel sick or have symptoms of a contagious illness, please stay home and rest.
  • Tell your instructor about injuries, medical concerns, or accommodations that may affect your practice.

Sharing the Space

  • During full classes, mats may be placed closer together.
  • Be aware of the people practicing beside you and adjust your position when needed.
  • Help new students feel comfortable and included.
The Yoga Room Is a Shared Space

Community is encouraged. Respect is expected.

Some students enjoy visiting with friends before class, while others prefer to stretch, breathe, meditate, or prepare quietly. Both are welcome at The Yoga Ridge.

Please notice the atmosphere around you. Say hello, connect with your community, and enjoy your time together while respecting students who are grounding or preparing silently.

Our Studio Culture

Everybody and every body is welcome.

At The Yoga Ridge, yoga is about more than postures. It is also about community.

We come from different backgrounds, ages, abilities, and experience levels, but we share the same space and the same practice. Encourage one another, celebrate progress, and help create an environment where everyone feels comfortable from their very first class.

Thank you for helping make The Yoga Ridge a welcoming place to breathe, grow, and practice together.

More Yoga. Less Stress.

Thank you for being part of The Yoga Ridge community.
